I’m an international donor who gave to a nonprofit. Why does my donation amount look different than what I gave?
ActBlue does not convert currency for international donations to nonprofits. That means whatever U.S. dollar (USD) amount you choose to give will be the same amount that is included on the receipt we send to your email. We also will charge that USD amount to your bank account.
However, it is possible that the donation amount will show up differently on your bank statement. Your bank may convert the USD amount you donated to the particular currency your bank uses. Your bank may also charge you a foreign currency transaction fee, but ActBlue does not charge any foreign transaction fees.
